01Overview

What this programme is.

An advanced continuation of the Level 4 Diploma in Artificial Intelligence, this 120-credit Qualifi qualification takes learners beyond AI fundamentals into advanced machine learning techniques, natural language processing, computer vision, reinforcement learning and AI for robotics. Alongside the technical content it develops critical thinking, problem-solving and the ethical dimensions of AI, with hands-on projects that apply AI expertise to real-world challenges.

The diploma is made up of six mandatory 20-credit units at Level 5, carrying 120 credits in total (Ofqual qualification number 610/3935/4). Learners build on the deep learning, data science and neural network fundamentals introduced at Level 4, working with advanced network architectures, reinforcement learning, language and vision models, and the design of systems that people can actually interact with. Assessment is coursework-based and delivered entirely online. On completion learners are equipped with the knowledge, skills and ethical awareness expected of a competent AI professional, and can progress to a Level 6 qualification, the final year of an undergraduate degree, or employment in the field.
